Sorry, we will never accept donations. The noble task of making porn games available to all is one we’ve undertaken for the greater good of mankind, so profit of any kind shall be forbidden. There are also multitudinous other problems with fan projects accepting donations, many having been discussed within the community.

Nonetheless, your appreciation is well appreciated. The fact that you feel so indebted serves as testament to our good work, and anybody in a position such as this one likes to be reminded of that, so thank you. If you still want to support the industry, you can buy a copy of Noble Works from Yuzusoft. Alternatively, if you want to advance the general intelligence of the population, you can indoctrinate your friends with the glory of the Oxford comma.

Progress is being made as always. However, as with all translation projects, the chart of percentages at the top of the page isn’t a perfect representation of how much is being done. Basically, in this case, we have a not-entirely-straightforward arrangement in which we check/proofread/whatever all of the scripts that have been translated, and that doesn’t show up as an update even if it’s being done because the percentages only represent raw translation.
Well, despite the above point, it’s true that less of this veiled progress than usual has been made because I’ve had to go a little inactive for personal reasons, but that quasi-hiatus will be over in a week or so, so fear not.
Also, now that more routes are getting finished, it’s increasingly less likely that there will be an update on a given week. For example, if five people translate scripts at a very irregular pace, it’s still likely that there will be at least one new translated script every week, because there’s so many people. But when there’s fewer people, the odds decrease, of course.

tl;dr: Eat your Wheaties and look forward to your porn game.

Hey, I just found out about Noble☆Works and it looks incredible!
I just thought I would check out your site and ask you about your patch.
Would you guys consider approaching a publisher like Mangagamer or JAST USA to offer your translation?
I would love to support the scene by buying this (assuming it comes as a hardcopy, I just purchase hardcopy releases in general) and since I read that you guys don’t allow donations, I thought I would ask you about simply giving your translation to a publisher who is willed to pick it up.
Someone told me that you guys are making high-quality translations, so the sheer thought of seeing this (officially) in English makes me burst with joy. 😀

Regardless, keep up the good work.
Maybe this is just me, but I would love to read through your translation and seeing it included as an official product.

    Best Wishes,
    Thorben

We wouldn’t go and approach a company all わざと, because to do so in that manner would betray our goal of a fan translation, and arguably of avoiding monetary gains. I can say at the most an echo of an assertion that Keisuke made: “If MG or JAST came up, they’d have to accept the Oxford Comma, obviously. We cannot allow heathens to publish our work.”
Naturally, your current best option to support the developers is to purchase an Japanese copy that, I understand, may prove aesthetically displeasing on your collection of hardcopies. 😦

Well, it doesn’t serve any purpose to me to buy something which’s language I don’t understand, and I refrain from using illegal patches usually.
        So… hmm. :/
I don’t know Japanese, so I have no reason to buy a Japanese VN; if I don’t know the language, then why would I but it, other than collection purposes?
I don’t know how to shop on Japanese sites… I guess I won’t be interested then.
It’s not really a question of how a Japanese VN would look in an otherwise consisting collection of English VN’s and Eroge, but really… you could also give away your translation for free, in theory, so nothing speaks against you simply providing a translation without expecting any monetary gains.
If it however conflicts with the morale attitude of a whole translation group, well, I guess that would be understandable, albeit still sad to hear…

Regardless, good luck with your future endeavours. 🙂

In order to read this fan translation, one must obtain the Noble Works game in Japanese in some manner. We have no influence over whether this is done by legal or illegal means. We provide nothing but a patch that changes the Japanese to English, and if you purchase the Japanese version, you will be able to use the patch to make it English.
The only economic effect that this fan translation has is that it will cause some people, hopefully a high amount, to purchase the game, which benefits the industry and deprives nobody of their due money. For example, let’s say that we live in a world that is initially void of dental products. If I start a company that makes only toothbrushes, then I’m not going to get angry when somebody else decides to start a company that makes toothpaste, because their business is bolstering mine. Perhaps I would get angry if I was also planning to start a toothpaste company earlier, but that isn’t the case here (in accordance with the metaphor).
But I’m not very good at shopping on Japanese sites either, so I can’t provide assistance with that problem. 😛

    Hi guys,
Keep up the good work. Hope to see the translation being completed soon! ^^

With regards to the official release of this game as suggested by Thorben, I doubt it will be viable. An official release requires a whole lot of process such as licensing, voicing and not to forget, translating the game itself ( even if the game is already translated by Oxford beforehand ). This is provided that there is significant demand for the English version of the game itself. Furthermore, once the game is officially released in English, it will be impossible for players to get the fan translation for free even if they have the original Japanese version. A good example will be Grisaia no Kajitsu. I had to pay to get both the game itself ( again ) plus additional fees for the new version. Luckily, I was able to get the free fan translation before the game was licensed in English. If not, I would have to wait for 2 years to be able to play the game ( the fan translation was completed in mid 2013 while the official one will be completed by end 2015 ).

Anyway, all the work for an official English release is complicated and will take months. NobleWorks, being an adult game, will make this process even more troublesome. I don’t think many players will happy if there is already a completed fan translation, yet was removed/not published. As what Fiddle has mentioned, this fan translation serves as a complement to the original game. Supporting the original producers won’t be an issue here. Besides, I don’t think Oxford be happy if their translation is going to be used by others for profits. If there is going to be an official English version, I am more than happy to purchase it. However one has to understand that it is not the best option in this situation and probably not in the near future as well.

    Regards,
    Chillxz

I made a comment addressing the recent progress above:
“Progress is being made as always. However, as with all translation projects, the chart of percentages at the top of the page isn’t a perfect representation of how much is being done. Progress is indeed going. It bothers me that the folly of other translation groups that make false promises reflect negatively upon our credibility, but I can assure you that there are no major problems (leaving aside the matter of my mental health) and nothing is going to be stalled indefinitely or whatever. In short, don’t let the fairly misleading manner in which the progress bar represents progress fool you; everything’s a’ight.

Thank you for the longstanding support! You may have been aware of this project for longer than I have, in fact.

Although I cannot take advantage of your inexperience in English to sway you toward the way of the Oxford comma, I believe that one can make an educated guess that it is correct based on the paucity of people who actively oppose it and the fact that the number of arguments against it which I have ever beheld do not nearly add up to those which I have enumerated and those which surely exist elsewhere. Neglecting the Oxford comma shall inevitably fall into the realm of other grammatical terms such as run-on sentences and the greengrocer’s apostrophe, in which a consensus exists that they are wrong but everybody must be reminded of them so as not to make a mistake.

Don’t feel obligated to read the above paragraph. 😛

I feel jealousy regarding the existence of the Oxford comma and the way, people are welcomming it. I’ve seen the 3rd reform of my native language and it got worse each time. Our politicians just hoped that there would be less errors, if we have 3 to 4 correct choices how to write a word. Same is regarding our comma usage… So let us Keep praising the Oxford comma 🙂

We currently have no specific plans for after Noble☆Works is finished. If we decide upon translating another title, there will be many aspects to account for with each game, such as popularity, length, and indeed, whether it is partially patched in such a manner that would facilitate our translation. But naturally, there are multitudes of titles to consider according to the above, so all we can say about Aiyoku no Eustia at the moment is that it is one of many options.
