In the new maintenance patch update, do I need to use “patch_any_to_v1.02.exe” again?, or do I only need to copy the new “patch3.xp3” into the main game folder?

    Hi,

I’ve purchased from DMM and believe I’ve managed to install the game, but after putting patch3.xp3 into the main game folder I try to run it and get this message which prompted me to install this sdrt5030.exe, after doing that and restarting it still prompts me to do that

You need to make sure you have soft-denchi up and running before attempting to start Noble Works. Usually after you install and run it, it will prompt you to log in in order to authorize your use of the game.

Also, patch3.xp3 is not what you want since your playing the downloadable version of the game. You’ll want to download the other patch, which will have patch.xp3 instead.

Sorry my mistake I am actually using patch.xp3, I’ve got soft-denchi up and running but it’s not prompted me to log in, I’ve clicked around and got something to pop up to login to the member’s site which I’m guessing is the log in you mentioned – just wondering what I put in exactly?

I’ve tried my email and password for DMM but it’s giving me ‘Fail to login.’ (11802), is there a different login I should have for this?

      • Keisuke says:

The login should be the same e-mail and password you use for DMM.

At least for my retail version, the patch misses translating the choice on 9/12. That’s one of the “dead end” choices; I know enough to figure out which is correct but others might not. Does anyone else have this issue?

We’ve tried downloading the patch again and looking at that in-game, and the choice is still in English. I don’t know what could account for that choice being in Japanese while everything else is in English, and we’ve never witnessed this error from anybody else, so let us hope that what few might encounter it shall not make the wrong choice and subsequently ragequit.

  5. Hello guys, first of all great work! I loved Noble☆Works! I am interested in translating a game myself but i have run into some problems. I can’t extract the files from the .xp3 file. I am using kirikiri2 but i also tried some other tools too. If you don’t mind telling me what tools you guys used? Maybe if i reverse engineer your patch will help me somehow to better understand the procedure.

      I’ll assume you’re talking about Noble☆Works.
-Did you download the right patch? You use “English Patch (Downloadable Version)” for the version you purchase online (likely through DMM) and download. You use “English Patch (Retail – Original Version)” for the other, earlier version.
-Did you extract the patch from the .zip folder? It’s “patch.xp3” for the downloadable version and “patch3.xp3” for the retail version.
-Did you put it in the right directory? For example, in the downloadable version, there’s both the main folder, which I myself named “Noble Works” (I don’t know what it was before that) containing the startup.exe file and whatnot, and then another folder within it titled “のーぶる☆わーくす,” containing technical files and whatnot, and I believe the situation is similar for the retail version. If you’re not sure which folder to put the patch in, you can just put it in both; it won’t break anything.

Hey guys if you want to enable this game to work on any system locale not just Japanese then convert all the .ks,.tjs,.csv files to utf16-le Unicode there might be more file types you need to do this too but I don’t know what they are. Make sure all of the text is the same in the utf-16le file as it is in the shift-jis file make sure the system title doesn’t have this ★/☆ or similar character the game will still run but it will use the wrong character or blank it out. The game should still display these characters ★☆♪≪≫「」『』【】 even if you’re not in Japanese locale if you do this. You will also need to do something about the font to make it use the correct one when not in Japanese locale I figured out a way to do this but you wont have to do this if it has its own font/custom font.
    e-mail me at:
    donovan20055@hotmail.com
and I’ll help explain in more detail and help if you will allow me

Thank you for reading this and have a wonderful day

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve spoken to Keisuke concerning this, who, to summarize, said that it would be more trouble than it’s worth at this point to alter Noble☆Works in this manner. However, it remains a possibility that we would implement this for future games.

Ya I hear ya would definitely require some work. If you guys want I could try and do it myself but it’s your call I understand either way. Glad you’re aware of it, for some reason this subject is not talked about much. The biggest reason I started doing this is because if I upgraded to Windows 10 and didn’t want to use Japanese locale well good luck to figuring that out, seems Applocale doesn’t work on Windows 10 at the moment that may change though.

Hiya, When I play the game during common route, I find that at the very beginning, if you picked “I guess she’s average….” and then decided to “Report on what has happened until now”, half way through the dialogue where Takumi asked Akari about modelling a weird choice pops up in Japanese and take me to a different route, was that meant to happen?

The original Yuzusoft patch presumably hasn’t been applied. You must run patch_any_to_v1.02.exe, which is included in our .7zip of the retail version of the game.

Do I need to download both of these files before I have the chance to start playing the game?

    Like

    • Fiddle says:

Which files? If you’re referring to Noble☆Works, you only need to click one of the two red buttons above, depending on which version of the game you have.

If you have the retail version, you first need to install patch_any_to_v1.02.exe (which should be included in the above download) before inserting patch3.xp3. This preliminary step is not necessary for the downloadable version.

I encountered this error after installing the game and applying the patch

    http://i.imgur.com/M6072DZ.png

Situation: The game works in Japanese without the patch, but error occurs upon applying patch
Solution: Applied ‘patch any_to_v1.02.exe’ and also renamed “patch3.xp3” to “patch.xp3”, able to view the game in English now

When I put in the game folder, the language stills japanese.
So, I have to translate all the text from script to works?

Are you using the retail version or the DMM (downloadable) version of Noble Works? If you’re using the retail version, make sure you’ve installed the other patches for the game (patch.xp3 and patch2.xp3). If you’re using the DMM version, I’ll have to modify the tool to take that into account.

Hi, I’m actually translating Noble Works to my native language and I’m about to finish the proyect. This is all thanks to you guys.
Now, I would like to know if there is a possibility to access to the tools you were using it to translate Dracu Riot.
This last one is a game a I like very much, but since all the files inside the xp3 files are encypted, I can’t translate it.
Whaterver your reply may be, thanks anyway for the translations.
